The article examines the paradigm shift required to study the expulsion of the moriscos from the superseding of its analysis as if they were a single community, «all are one», with a self-centered identity. The moriscos are a creation of the dominant christian community, that forced the descendants of the Muslims of al-Andalus to baptize, creating an internal problem which was radically solved with the expulsion of the group. The paper studies the current school of knowledge, their moriscos studies and the new contributions from diverse fields and disciplines.
