Sa‘di Yusuf: desde el Creciente Fértil… hasta Berlín
Martínez Lillo, Rosa Isabel
ABSTRACT
The Iraqi poet Sa‘di Yusuf, continuing with his eternal journey around new places and cities, moves further into the depths of Berlin. Whether in the company of his daughter, a friend, a lover, or simply alone, he roams the streets of the German capital, opening the pores of his skin to new images, sensations, incidents and people; everything is subject to becoming an element of poetry. Thus, travelling through Berlin will be synonymous with opening up the eyes to a more earthly present, a more urgent love, the most sublime transcendence and even, on occasions, evoking the past, his past: Iraq, Arabness and, in short, freedom, always necessary for man.
