The present article puts forward a description of the work carried out at the Islamic Library in 2012 and is primarily aimed at researchers and those studying the Protectorate to mark the centenary of the Spain and France Treaty. The library centre’s contribution to the recognition of common heritage comes in the form of a published book-catalogue ―the result of a comprehensive documentary project― compiling documentary material connected to the Protectorate. This work has also served to develop other dissemination activities related to our documentation: the cataloguing and digitalisation of the photographic content donated by Fernando Valderrama, the recent acquisition documents, previously non-existent in our collection, which have completed the perspectives involved and the two-month exhibition in the headquarters of AECID.
